Loooks like GMs target of targeting younger groups is working.
Currently daily a c63 coupe and looking to replace with a C8 in a few years. Married but no kids yet.
Anyone else in similar shoes?

I'm 35 and strongly considering it. I have a deposit down on a 718 GT4 (PDK option when it arrives next year) at list price - both cars launching around the same time and both I would do a Museum Delivery or Porsche Atlanta experience center delivery. Also interested in the GT500 (have owned a lot of v8 mustangs) but am so sick and tired of the stupid games Ford dealers play with any car that is remotely exciting (ADM, allocation mind games, etc.) and #1 on the list for the M2 CS (although least excited about this one due to lack of BMW reliability, but I can pick it up from the performance center in my backyard which is cool).
I'd say right now my preferences are as follows:
1a - C8
1b - GT4
2a - used GT3 (991)
2b - 991.2 Carrera T
3 - GT500
4 - M2 CS
So tempted to wait for the Z06 but then I ask myself, why do I need more than a 3 second 0-60? I think the GrandSport is the goldilocks for me, just hope they release some info by middle of next year before I make a move.

I don’t know about the under 30 crowd but I’m in my mid 30s and will be. I have 3 kids and probably won’t have more, youngest is 8, established in my career and no debt. 20-somethings are usually still paying off loans, haven’t climbed the career ladder yet, maybe have new babies and other priorities. Having said that If I was in the financial situation I am now, I would have pulled the plug on a c6/c7 in my 20s.
I’m going to try to wait for the Z06 Convertible and hope not to break down..I don’t want to take the depreciation hit or I’d get the base model and trade up later.
It’s really tempting.

I'm 31 struggling with mental health issues, I have no kids and own a Viper. I can't wait to add one of these to the stable. It will look great next to my Gen IV Convertible

Just turned 39
Married
3 kids
little debt
The plan is to get one as a 40th birthday present to myself. Not sure if im young but im either the tail end of gen x or the beginning of the gen y
I believe this car (and even many things about the C7) were aimed at my demographic. GM would love to have many 30 year old professionals buy this car up and hope they become Corvette and maybe even GM lifers.

I’m 36 and am playing around with the idea now that it’s been revealed and base price was somewhat announced. I’d get a 2lt Z51 if/when I pull the trigger. I was dead set on picking up a used R8 V10 this spring and both should be similarly priced. I want to see how the DTC works. I love my DSG in my Audi S4, I’ll be keeping it as a daily driver.

I've owned quite a few corvettes from age 20 to current (age 40). I currently have a C7 Z06 and will probably add to the stable rather than replace the Z06 as it may be the last manual corvette. Now the question is whether to buy in the next 1-2 MYs or wait for the Z06 (likely a 2022 model)?

I'm 37. I am very pleased with the new C8 and I would absolutely buy one if money were not an issue. I technically have enough, but it's hard to justify. I like to keep my car purchases under 25k. Call me cheap. I will say tho that I think this will help me get into a newer, nicer vette for 25k than I could have gotten without the release, so I'm happy about that. But only time will tell. It is very tempting to drop the cash on it tho ..... very very tempting.

33 and a C8 will be my 6th vette. Was holding out for a C8 Z06 as I am coming from a C7 Z06 but I am really really tempted to just do a C8 Stingray. Will drive it and then decide.
Started at age 19 with a 2000 Millenium Yellow C5 Z51 Coupe (6 speed manual).

I’ve always had vettes. Bought my first one a week before getting married in ‘03. Currently the wife and I have nine vettes, two caddy’s, two trucks, and a camaro. Our vettes include a ‘54, ‘56, ‘63, ‘79, ‘96, ‘03, ‘10zr1, ‘12gs, and ‘’15z06. We are excited about the C8 but planning to order one of the higher horsepower versions. Oh, and our two kids both said they want white. All four of us watched the live stream of the unveiling last night, together as a family.

Just turned 30, I've owned a '16 for a few years now. Planning on waiting for a C8 Widebody (GS?) in the next few years and then I'll probably splurge on that.
