Default What are your thoughts on the rear end...

I love the C8, and will definitely be getting one at some point, but I think the rear end is a miss. The tail lights are just blah, and I think GM missed an opportunity to re-introduce the round tails lights. Also, the exhaust housing seems like it might limit aftermarket options for exhaust tips. On that note, the exhaust piping seems to be mere inches from the rear tires based on the following photo. Hope they have a good and thin heat shield.

It's the worst looking part of the car by a country mile. They could have made a truly epic car if the rear end wasn't such a huge letdown.

It's a bit busy, but not enough to deter me from getting one.

It doesn't bother me but it also doesn't make me want to stare at it either.

Now that I've seen the car, in total, the rear end is fine.

Looks terrible, IMO. A very boring squarish look.

Agree, if you look at rear-end only shots of certain Ferrari, Lambo, and McLarens, the C8 actually looks better. I think the rear suits the overall design of the car nicely, and the whole package is very attractive.

When people say it looks like a Camaro rear end, I say well duh, of course. It's called "design language." Whether you like it or not is up to you.

I think the folks that say it looks like a new Camaro are wrong. That statement is not fair to the Camaro, which looks a Heck of a lot better than this hodgepodge of vents, tailights, license plate and diffuser.

In fact this car has more creases than a 90 year old.

You left out the IMO part. I can't think of another ME that IMO the C8 bested with their version.

The good news on the rear end is that it leaves a lot of room for improvement when the Grand Sport and Z06 versions are revealed.

Please show me a Ferrari or Lambo in recent years with a rear end that looks worse than the C8. I'll gladly admit I'm wrong if you can provide those pics.

Its by far my least favorite part of the car, but it would not stop me from buying one. I absolutely love everything else.

I wonder if Camaro Drivers get offended when people say that the rear end of their Camaro looks like a CORVETTE?

The space for the plate is too prominent. They should have put it lower.

That's the ONLY thing I din't like about C7's rear end is the large black bottom area. It matches OK with my darker Night Blue, but limits brighter colors since I don't like the clashing colors. Was hoping the C8 would rid more of that black area...
