Default awe touring/ borla atak

Not sure if this has been asked/ posted but figrued I would . Im looking at exhaust for my z06. I am leaning towards AWE touring but am looking into Borla atak also. I have the AWE x pipe already since I know they are not selling them anymore. I have listened to the AWE on YouTube on five12 page and they sound awesome and have me sold. I was told by someone that the Borla Atak are louder. just looking for any input. Thanks

Had/have Borla Atak installed on another vehicle and it sounds great. Have Corsa Extremes w/their X pipe installed on my Z06, and I actually like it a little better.

I have the Borla setup, x pipe and ATAK. After listening to the AWE videos I would have to say the AWE is a bit throatier while the Borla is a bit more raspier.
‘not sure of the AWE x pipe size but my Borla mated right up. Whichever u go with check x pipe and axle back pipe sizes.
I don’t think you can go wrong with either set up. They both sound good.

I’m in the situation with the trying how to increase the volume of my NPP. I really like the AWE touring and the Corsa Extreme too but I’m concerned about the valves on the Corsa and I have read the AWE will drone if you have a Corsa x pipe which is what I have. If I knew the Borla would be loud enough I would probably pull the trigger. Any input on the Borla volume compared to the AWE and Corsa would be welcomed.

I had the awe xpipe and touring exhaust with black tips on my z06. I really loved it. Sounded great and no drone. Drove on the highway and on the track.

I have had a few C7’s with various exhaust options (currently a Borla 60547 xpipe and ATAK system).

the xpipe makes a bigger (volume) sound difference than the muffler system IMO. If you want volume do the xpipe first, then tune the sound profile with the muffler system of your choice.

Full stock vs xpipe and stock NPP

I currently have the AWE X pipe and Touring axle backs on my C7Z and I love it. Zero drone. I had an x pipe and Borla Ataks on my C5Z and liked the sound as well but it was a higher pitch than the AWE's It's all personal taste.

Bumping for 2026—still weighing Borla vs. AWE. Any new owners want to chime in on the sound profile or install quality? Trying to avoid starting a new thread since there’s already good info here, just looking for any updated 'long-term' thoughts.
