Evern since it dipped into the low 40's or below, my C8 makes a creaking noise that sounds like it's coming from the left rear. It happens briefly when you accelerate and and then again or when you stop. It's not a constant thing.....only happens when starting from a stop or breaking to a stop. Sounds likes creaking spring or a rusty door hinge. Once the car is warmed up, it's completely gone.
I don't know if it's the cold outside temperature that is causing an expansion or contraction of something, but it's a bit annoying on such an expensive car. This is the first time I've experienced it in 2500 miles, but it's also the first time it's been really cold outside since I've had the car.
At this point, it's nothing significant enough to bring to the dealer since it disappears once the car is warmed up, and there would be no way to replicate for the dealer unless I leave if for them overnight so they can drive it when it's cold in the morning. Not too thrilled about that prospect: have them test drive and then mount a fishing expedition to find a gremlin that only appears when the car is cold.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar thing. Sounds like it could be the parking brake, or at least that where it sound like it's coming from.
Not to be a Dick. Your options. Leave it overnight with the dealership so the tech who will diagnose the problem can cause it to repeat and find the fault.
Do not leave it at the dealership overnight, drive it there with everything warmed up and they can not repeat the fault. Therefore they can’t fix the fault they can’t find.

Thanks in advance for help.
Don't know if its the same , but I sometimes hear a creak back there thst I think is the muffler valve (s). I can here it at idle when flipping between track and tour exhaust sound settings. I think in some settings it may be closed at steady speed but open when you accelerate. So it might be that.

Hehe, muffler valve sounds like the old joke about muffler bearings...which the muffler valve may have.
UNLESS, there's a slim possibility that either this dealer has seen/heard about the issue before, OR it's in the system as being an infrequent but known issue. Depending on your relationship with the service dept., it might be worth at least a call sometime when they're not busy (usually in late morning or early mid-afternoon). Just my opinion, but it's usually worth a face-to-face; that way, you might get a consult with whomever is the Corvette tech. Good luck.

You choose.
Not to be a dick, but I believe I did choose. See paragraph 3 of my first post. But thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion but the best local service department in this area is not so great, hence my apprehension to take it there for such a minor issue....well, minor at this point, anyway. I wish I could see or speak with a Corvette tech but my attempts to do in the past have always been met with a firm "no" for such a thing. It's like trying to speak with the Wizard of Oz.

Well, I can surely understand your hesitancy. Any good corv. clubs in your area with maybe one person/guy who plays around a lot with his C8? It's not a good feeling to wait for something to either go away, or get worse. Kinda like dreading what might happen.
I have the exact same symptoms on my 2020 HTC. Like you, I have been reluctant to leave it with the dealer because even in the best of circumstances noises can be difficult to track down and this noise goes away when the car warms up. My car didn't do it at first, even though I took delivery in January in Colorado, but when the temps dropped that fall it started. It has become worse, not so much in volume but in duration, as time goes on.
Just curious . . .
Do you have the HTC ?
If so, I bet you it is the top that is squeaking with the frame. I had the same issue last Fall and it drove me nuts trying to figure out where the sound was coming from.
Silicone grease and gasket treatment solved my issue.
It was a bit warmer here today and it only made the noise upon the first few accelerations, not when the car was backing up and stopping.
I have a 2023 coupe. Mine started doing this last winter. I drive it year round in Georgia where temperature usually stays above freezing. I dropped it off with the dealer when it started happening and even went for a drive with the technician so he understood what I was talking about. They checked the torque on all of the suspension joints and said everything was good. It only happens when it's cooler than about 50°. When the car warms up it goes away. It's starting to do it again now that the outside temperature is dropping. It's a little annoying but since it's been checked out and doesn't seem to be anything serious I just accept that it's the nature of the car. I think it's a suspension bushing and I may try to put it up on my quick jack and try to track it down. If I find the root cause I let you know.
did you figure it out? Mine does the same. Took it in and they couldn’t diagnose it. Mine makes like a clunk noise from the rear under acceleration from stop or letting go of acceleration from a stop. Or a small speed bump. Cold makes it more noticeable or from a cold start. Chat gpt says to have bushings and bolts retorqued at ride height which they did but noise is still there.
