Anyone in here with a auto 6sp c7, stock stall running a btr 225 cam? Ive had this cam for months and my tuner can not get its drivability down for some reason. Mainly at idle and startups and coming to stops. Rough startups, hunts for idle, so.etimes i gotta use the gas pedal to get it started, sometimes even a flashing cel for missfires at idle. Anyone else experienced these head aches also with thier 225? One tuner wouldnt even take my business to tune it because of the cam combination with stock stall and rear end gear ratio ect, basicly didnt want his name on a tune because he doesnt reconmend the cam with a stock stall speed. Btr advertised that its stock stall friendly......so yeah...idk.
What throttle body are you using? Gen 4 vs Gen 5 tuning is a bit of a learning curve. A reputable Gen 4 tuner will still have to learn how to make a Gen 5 behave if they haven't tuned a cammed Gen 5 before. I only say this to add that if your tuner is a reputable gen 5 tuner, then I would look at the throttle body. I have come across a couple of them that just make tuning a cam a real headache.
Its stock gen v throttle body. Only mods are headers, cnc PRC heads, vararam cold air intake, e85, and the 225 cam. Im not sure how much tuning experience he has woth gen v's, but everyone in the LS world knows him and praises him. Thats the one reason why i went with him with my LS g8.
curious to which shop refused it, might have been 21st century because they like to do things right. they have done all the work on my old c6z, and current c7. wouldnt hurt to call them, if they werent the ones who refused

It was another remote tuner. It wasnt the ones you mentioned. Not too many choices here in michigan for dyno tuning.
My C7 A6 has a BTR stage 2 blower cam installed, of course it idles a bit rougher than stock but easy enough to live with, no bucking or stalling at all, props goes to the tuner I believe.
Done that cam and it drives really good in the A8's. Never done it in a stock converter A6, it might push through the brakes a tad w/ a stock converter but it sure won't do any of the stuff you're talking about. Find a better tuner.

we do not remote tune btw.
yeah i think this is my last straw with remote tuners. Ive been reading and watching ALOT of tuning videos and im about ready to tackle it myself.
I’m ben Charles on hp tuners… I could dial it in! PM me
I appreciate it, but i got a appointment with "Power Dynamics" in port huron michigan to do a dyno tune fornme. Hopefully Steve from there can help me out.
Curious what you ended up making with the V225, I just did Katech ported heads, V225 cam, 103mm katech tb, corsa intake, ARH long tubes w/ their "extreme duty" cats in the x pipe, MSD intake manifold and came out around 535 on E85.

I made 488 on 93. Granted i dont have the throttle bodie or intake manifold. Im assuming maybe 505 ish on e85.
With the help of Ghuggins on here, i was able to tune my virtual torque tables and got.my stalling to stop.
