So I look at my hot rod projects in a different way. When I sold my 71 C3 8? years ago I kept every receipt and they went with the new owner. I knew roughly what I had in it and I made a couple of thousand.
But I look at my hot projects some what like going on vacations. When you go on vacation and pay for there is no return money wise. Just good (hopefully) memories. The cost for the trip is money out the window.
My wife is very cool with my hot projects. I used to have medium stressed industrial sales job. Loved the job and the pay was great. So when I was in the shop working a project I was just thinking about the project not the next sale at work.
