edit: sorry garbage angle, car is in storage this is all I have for my mounted wheels
When they were installing them the guys INSISTED it was the correct way before he put them on and explained how the teeth should be facing forward etc. almost every other thread and pic when I search 94 corvette has them the other way. What is right!!??
It might have been better to have posted a better snapshot BUT if all 4 seem to be incorrect/orientated differently than you normally see just pick one and remove it. If the back-side is marked for a location that isn't correct then you could 'assume' then that all aren't correctly mounted. Mounted as they are now are all 4 of yours orientated in the same direction?
This is a correct left side wheel? If the wheels are actually from a '93+ then there could also be a mix of incorrect 17 X 8.5 and/or 17 X 9.5. Need rotation confirmed and widths done to match 4 X 8.5 or 4 x 9.5 OR maybe 2 X 8.5 and 2 X 9.5 with 8.5 to the front and 9.5 to the rear.
Pretty sure the wheels are notated on the inside as to which side of the car they're supposed to be mounted. I suppose it could be a personal choice, but which way do you think they look better?
I've got a similar situation: My rear driver's side wheel is meant to go on the other side, so the cutouts face a different direction than the fronts do.
It's a little difficult from that angle however for all "sawblade" wheels that came on 91 - 95 base model C4s the correct orientation is like this:
That being said the wheels that came stock on an 88 were of a unique design (as were the ones on 89 & 90) and they DID face the opposite way of what I am showing you.
I guess ill take my wheels off and check the inside. Im sure theyre wrong though, i guess ill have to get the tires remounted and stuff smh
The thought on ties is 'only' if they're 'directional'. Many might just check tire date codes and if they're very old replace or maybe run as mounted for a while longer and shop for tires. Check tire date codes the same time you pull wheels to check.

Tires are brand new - just bought them. They are directional unfortunately - Firestone Indy 500.

Nevermind im dumb, they are asymmetrical but not directional. Phew. easier work then

Did you buy 'local' - it's a bit odd but not unheard of that a tech wouldn't pick up on the mounting on the wheel 'back-side'. Were the wheels put on to the same positions that the old were? It might be worth a conversation 'after' you confirm what's actually there and where they need to be. A responsible 'local' merchant I'd think be inclined to help. Was there a national chain involved with the purchase and arranging mounting?

I had the 88 stock wheels on my car, bought the 94 wheels and had them refinished - the same shop that refinished the wheels procured me the tires.
After the fact, I took the new wheels to the car shop that was working on my car and they swapped them out, so seems its the shops fault but thats an easy fix now that I know they are in fact NOT directional.
If they give you any grief about swapping them around have them pull one off and look at the back side and I think the discussion will go in your favor from there. Sawblades are clearly marked on the back side which side they go on.
If you remove the wheels, the side of the car they are supposed to be installed on will be cast into the wheel. It will either say left or right. Hopefully that will help. Note that the front and rear wheel width is different.
