Hello,
I have a 2020 2lt. I'm having issues with my memory functions. About every 3 or 4 times I start the car or turn the car off, my memory settings do not function. I'm talking about the seats and steering memory settings. When it works, it's accurate, but when it doesn't work, it just does nothing. On start up, it will stay in the last exit position, and on shut down, it will stay in the driving position. I have tried to reset them and it does not help. I can push the memory buttons on the door, and they will move to the correct position. Any suggestions?
Tony
Some folks have had success with this process for Area 51 issues. Bad news not everyone. Good news it is a cheap fix if it works. Open this You Tube video and fast fwd the video to 1:44.45 mark. Watch the guy's solution for weird and unusual things that are happening. Who knows? But if all else has failed there is no downside to trying.
It seems to me that mine only fails if I get in the car, shut the door, and fiddle with my phone for some (undetermined) period of time. Then when I start the car, nothing happens so I hit the button on the door.
Also, opening the door and leaving it open for a while seem to confuse the memory, with the seat not returning to the programmed position after you close the door.

Same for me. It's so random that I can't recreate it for the dealer. I have a 2022 2LT coupe.
I found that unless I open the door almost immediately after shutting off the car, the memory features (steering wheel raising and seat going back) will not function. There is some type of "time out" feature that is rather quick and kills the memory exit settings.
I found that if I’m positioning myself around in the seat and push any pressure back into the seat while it is moving into my driving position the seat will stop I assume it doesn’t like any push back to avoid damage to the motors etc

I don't have this "time-out" problem with mine...After I shut off the car I can linger for 5~10 minutes in the cabin and once I open the door to exit, the seats and steering wheel will move all the way back and up, per my memory settings...

X2 my memory settings work every time even if my wife is driving and I have my key in my pocket and she puts her key in the cup holder.
When I get into my 2020, the driver's seat moves from the exit seat memory to my key seat memory. However, it stops midway and I have to push the #1 button on the door to bring it to the full position. This happen erratically.
I tried the "memory cache" reset from Chevy Dude's video. But the same erratic thing still happens.

Any thoughts?
My 2022 is still doing this. See my earlier post in this thread. I have been able to trigger it SOMETIMES by shifting into Reverse before the memory movement has completed.
As I’ve noted in my earlier post I found I need to sit relatively still while the seat is moving to my memory 1 position if I start to wiggle around in the seat to much while it’s moving it will stop and I have to press and hold the memory 1 , I think it senses any resistance to movement

Not for me. I would put some resistance by planting my foot on the foot rest and it still moves. I would try to give it less resistance by pulling myself up a little with the arm rest and steering wheel also. Gives me the same sporadic partial mem seat movement.

We've had many posts since the C7 where folks were confused as why when they started the car the seat moved to where their wife had set her driver's seat position when had her FOB with her had entered the passenger side 1st!
pathetic????

"Pathetic" describes something or someone that evokes pity or sadness, due to weakness, inadequacy, or being miserable. It often signifies that an action or person is so hopelessly ineffective or feeble that it inspires scorn rather than sympathy. Webster
