Default Early 68 SB Fan Shroud

I am selling this 68 fan shroud. It is for early SB cars as it only had the one "rib" ( As I was told by an NCRS Judge).
Seriously interested members please PM for more pictures. $300 plus actual shipping.
Stay safe, AJ.

Hello John. Hope all is well with you and yours. Nice early '68 shroud. Too bad it wasn't for a BB.

*** Buy with confidence from Avalonjohn. Top shelf seller. Would buy from him in an instant. ***

Cheers...

Thank you!
I bought this for my car only to find out it is incorrect for my late May build.

Not sure where the cutoff was.

Hope all is well with you!

not sure what you mean by one rib?
you mean the rib configuration around the diameter of the shroud?

Yes, the rib around the diameter. Was advised by a master ncrs judge that this is early 68 and not correct for my car.

Also the copper radiator for SB is an interesting read in the Bizocco book regarding the 69s. my Aug 69 L46 has the copper rad with FG shroud.

I received further clarification. This shroud is more narrow than the later "2 rib" version. It was widend (2nd rib) to help with early cooling issues.

Well I learned something new today
I vaguely remember if I had the 2 ribbed shrouds and sold them all as I have a BB, Something new to me on the judging field if I was to judge an early 68 sb
can you post a clear pic of the single rib
Thanks grant

Hello

Interesting subject.
Whats the difference between early SB and early BB shroud ? Very early 68 BB had the SB shroud as well.
I just checked my 68 build Oct 67 and it has a single rib SB shroud.
I nearly tossed the shroud when after I bought the car thinking that it should have a BB shroud !

Although this is unrelated to the seller but I have heard that some early 68 BB's did have the metal shroud but had slightly different dimensions, any idea where specific information may be located?
