Those who replaced their headlight lenses hows it holding up??
did mine a few years ago and they look like total *** now, they only looked good for about 18 mos. Such a a pain in the *** but am going to have to redo them.
I replaced mine with the original ones that RLSebring had in 2014, and they still look great. I have put 70K miles on the car since the change.
The only thing I do with these is use Meguiar's Gold Class Premium Quik Detailer to clean and protect the lens.
Using anything like Window cleaner will make them go to crap, as the ammonia attacks the coating.
I’ve heard about issues with glass cleaner on certain brands, I’m curious to know which lenses as I just bought a set of umnitza’s. RL seems to not be in business anymore.
I replaced my original lenses with Sebring's Mexican lenses way back in 2020. So far, so good, they still look like new. A great guy who basically invented the C6 headlight lens replacement business, hope he's still doing it.
Anyone use the ACANNII replacement headlights? They are a little more expensive than the Umnitza lens but would save the pain of removing the lens.
I don’t know of anyone that has tried Acannii’s but a couple people tried the Anzo’s. Fit was kinda crappy around the gasket area. I’d probably stay away from those too. You get what you pay for. Morimoto has a 5 year warranty. The others is something like 90 days.

Hopefully he is OK...I ordered 2 sets from him back in 2014, so I do have a spare set if I ever need to replace mine again.
I seem to end up replacing mine every 2 years with some of the china specials... they don't hold up well. I've heard everyone say Sebring is the way to go... might try that next time.
I restored a Saturn Sky with disasterous lower lenses. I took them off the car, setup my polisher horizontally in a vise, setup cardboard to "catch the fling" and within minutes the two lower lenses were beautiful.

I assume the same could be done with C6 headlights. Just get them off the car to protect the body paint.
I installed the Morimoto head lights on the Vette, however, I redid the lenses on our 2012 Genesis, and used the Cerekote kit, and they look brand new. I helped my grandson who just bought his first car (2013 GMC Acadia), and his lenses looked horrible (the Arizona sun is at fault), and they turned out beautiful....and look perfect!

yeah there is no saving these....I see Morimotos in my future. Taking apart the headlights is a pain in the *** and then the cost of new lenses I'm not doing it again

I got the unmitzas for 70 bucks. I’ve never done the job so I’m not jaded yet.
If you guys are getting the lenses from us - we have many in stock - I recommend the clear film for much longer life with them. Our lenses were the only ones we tested with a DOT testing facility and found to be clearer and better than OEM.
However, the sun still damages everything it touches, so we recommend the clear film for added protection both against the sun and against little debris. The combination of the lenses and the clear film is unbeaten. Where even OE lenses will crack and craze due to exposure, ours will not if you apply the film. Our lenses also will not oxidize or fade if you don't apply the film, but it's that added layer of protection that generally works better.
Also, as a reminder, we didn't litter the lenses with a lot of text or lettering, it's subtle, so you know you got a good product without shouting it to everyone
