Ideas on wind management for coupe with roof off
So, weather is now warming up so I took the roof off my coupe and went cruising. I quickly got reminded that with the windows all the way up, there's this buffeting sound like whomp whomp. Lowering the windows a bit totally eliminates the buffeting noise but it seems that the wind is blasting right about where the back of my neck is and that gets old after about 10 minutes when the temps are less than 60. I was wondering if you guys have come with any DIY to avoid either one of those situations. I thought about wearing a scarf but that look is not 21st century.

After a C8 coupe and the same thoughts, I decided instead to sell it and bought a Z06 HTC. Much better and no scarf.

For the Coupe I do not know. But, in the HTC, in cooler conditions, I turn the heat up - and turn on the heated seats. It works pretty well.

I like this idea and the fact that it stows in the lock pins in the trunk as well.
I also like the fact is has a carry pouch to protect it, I'm wondering if you can still lock the pins in if it is in the pouch?
This certainly would be a nice add-on if you plan on driving it with the roof off and your partner does complain about the wind/buffeting and messing up the hair.
A ballcap will work pretty good but I do like the looks of this installed on the car and certainly will draw questions and comments at any car show you have it at.

I got spoiled on 4th gen F-bodies, those were amazing convertibles for cruising, you could basically dial-in the wind you wanted using the side windows. Windows up it they were nearly as calm as a sunroof, dial in the wind you wanted dropping the side windows, great. You could drive those cars top down in the rain and stay bone dry so long as you kept above ~30-40mph.
Then I got a C6 targa and barely ever pulled the top due to the wind behaviors... so HTC it was for the C8.

If I want open air, I’d get a Harley.
if I don’t want open air, a vette.

I was thinking about making a visor deflector then saw this visor sun sun shield. If it is reversed it might help🤔.
I Will need to give it a try. It might give just enough shift in the air flow to change the interior pressure and wind noise.

I just don't run fast with the top off.

Melting Slicks
Although I have a HTC I'd still like to see what affect it has at true highway speeds or say 75 mph on an interstate. My former C7 coupe was actually pretty decent at speeds around 60 but at 75+ it sucked. On my C7 convertible with top down and windows up it's surprisingly calmer, but I also don't have two nacelles and a partial rear window either.

The video didn't help me at all. Highlighting the hair movement was a fail for me. I saw no change, but I would be more interested in how it handles buffeting sound, which makes it too much of a risk at the current price.
I will wait for the ABS $129 version if someone makes a less fancy model.

I was actually planning on making one myself
I like this, but I truly do wish everything didn't have to be carbon fiber and so expensive for no reason. I do understand the business and the Corvette TAX.

The screen from Speedway Composites in an earlier post looks great and definitely appears effective. I do not have one yet, for my Z06, but their engine compartment X brace is terrific - beautifully made (especially each of the corner support sections, looks great in visible carbon fiber/grey, excellent priceand 10 minutes to install.
