Default New 2 me...'21/Z51

2021 Red Mist Metallic
2LT/Front Lift/GT2 seats/Z51/High Wing
2,300 mi.
Wasn't quite ready to trade my '16 Z06, but this car was well optioned with low miles, carbon trim throughout the interior and engine bay.

Congratulations! When I first saw/sat-in a C8 I couldn't believe how exotic and non-Corvette like it felt.

Just wondering how you feel about not having that C7 Z06 power? The LT2 is a noticeable reduction in horsepower & torque. For me, I think the C8 looks and DCT transmission mostly make up for the weaker powertrain. You do miss that 650 hp engine sometimes though...

Can't wait for your impressions.

Thanks for posting.

These cars are two different animals and I like both for different reasons. I love feeling the raw power of the Z06, even just sitting at a stop light, but I'm not a track guy, so I rarely enjoyed its full potential. On the other hand, I'm a sucker for technology and absolutely love the updated interior and performance of the C8. Still learning the car though and look forward to understanding its features and capabilities.
I still miss the looks of my Z more than anything, but the C8 is growing on me fast, it truly is an amazing car!

I had a similar experience. I loved the look of my C7 Grand Sport, but I kinda felt left behind. I like new .. and I like the latest tech. C8's are taking over the landscape when it comes to Corvette. I had to try to bridge the gap between my awesome looking Grand Sport, and my awesome potential C8 Hardtop Convertible. I had to add ... High Wing, New Wheels/tires 20/21" upgrade. Added tint, added Maxtor body Kit, added MBRP Track Exhaust, added hood & tonneau vinyl graphics, added vinyl roof wrap, added Lloyds Mats, and Tinted tail lights .. and other small tweaks in order to get it to match the looks to it's engineering status. I'm happy, and I would not look back whatsoever, but it took me until Fall 2023 to make that decision, when I could have moved fall 2020. The more you settle into the C8, the more you'll appreciate the move.

The Z06 is gone, but would have loved to have kept it, I just need more garage space.
