Does anyone make and sell a blower motor conversion spacer? I know lots of guys here talk about making one but if possible I'd rather just buy the thing

Nope. You have to make your own. A search should bring up the dimensions.

There's plans on Vetmod website to download. I'm eventually going to try and 3d print one out of either ASA or Carbon Fibre reinforced Nylon. Either should handle the under bonnet temperatures. Just waiting on a motor n cage from Rockauto.

I made my own out of wood and came out OK. I think that I downloaded the design from Vettemod a long time ago, but there was issues with the pattern for my 82 if I remember correctly? GL

I made mine out of a plastic cutting board. Used 2 layers. Worked perfectly but looked a little odd. Another member on here used one wrap of electrical tape to make it look good. Simple as that.

Why was this moved? A lot of us put C4 blower motors in our C3's.
I made mine out of plastic. Very easy.

Bottom line is, you can just use the blower motor for making up a template. Cut out a chunk of cardboard slightly larger than what you need. Cut a round circle in the center of it about 1/16ths larger than the diameter of the blower cage. Slide cardboard over cage laying flat on the blower motor mounting surface. Take a pencil, mark out the outline and the screw holes. Remove from cage. Finish cutting it out. Lay on your plastic or wood. DONE. Super simple.

This is the one I did on my 72. The spacer does not sit flat you need to put relief cuts for the rivets.

As 4vettes said, it’s really not that difficult. Trace one side. Trace the other side. Put both together with a couple of #8 screws. Even I could do it.

I thought about doing this on the laser, but changed my mind and used wood and painted it black instead. It is pretty simple mod actually.

Isn't it almost too damn hot to drive down there soon... perfect time for those little jobs (says the guy who's hoping we won't get anymore overnight frost for this year)
