C7 DSC shock tuning help
Hey guys. Need some hold with tuning the front shocks of my C7. I have a wing and splitter from 9Lives and make a good bit of downforce. No real issues with the stock Z07 suspension but there is one issue I am having that I hope can be remedied. Under hard braking at speeds above 140mph my front splitter and pucks make contact with the ground. When static the bottom of the splitter is 4.5" off the ground. I am wondering if it's possible to stiffen the front shocks even more during deceleration.

Sounds like you are ready for coilovers.

Yes and no. When i simply switched to the DSC controller, there was a major improvement in the reduction of nose dive under braking. This is their standard setup so i wanted to see if it was possible to stiffen the shocks even more. I just barely hit and would prefer to do it this way if possible.

Yes but I don't understand what the values mean and how much I need to. Plus I need that to happen during braking in particular. I have never used the software other than to zero out the sensors.

I hadn't watched this video in probably a year or more, but I seem to recall it or another video going over the parameters.

Obviously there's no easy button and it's trial and error so be sure you keep a copy of your baseline file so you can always return to where you started from.
Make sure you're editing Track mode (pick via the "Settings" tab) and make sure after making changes on the GForce tab you hit "Update"

You should be able to go into the GForce tab and increase the G Comfort Parameters default rate from 1 to something like 10. That will stiffen the entire table by 10%. Then you'll need to go into each cell and proportionally change them so that you keep the rears and neutral values the same. So, using my 10% example you'd multiply those values by .90 and input them.

You could stiffen the rebound in the rear to slow down the weight transfer under braking.

If you just want to stiffen the front under heavy braking, I would look at the brake table in the software, not that it works off brake pressure so you’ll need to get an idea of how hard you’re braking.
If it’s just braking from high speed, you could also try stiffening the front in the speed table. Assuming you only adjust for speeds higher than you would be cornering, it shouldn’t affect handling.
This video might help as well.

Interesting. What changes did they make? A couple years back at The Firm I tried to match your braking point on the back straight and ended up in the grass, lol.
