Late 23s and 24s Trans Replacement Update?
Anybody get any notice yet of the trans replacement due to improper torque of bolts yet? Apparently GM is supposed to be sending out letters to the affected VIN#s. Is there any other way to check rather that waiting for a letter in the mail? I would like to know since it will affect when I do the free trans filter replacement.

As I got older, wiser, calmer - and a little more financially secure - I realized its just not worth stressing over these things. The internet tends to amplify these types of things to overblown status, but the real failure rates are still pretty slim. If it breaks, I will get it fixed. If it breaks a lot, I will get rid of it. It's not like all of a sudden Corvettes are going to become undesirable piles of junk no one wants. I wouldn't let fear of something going wrong to ruin your enjoyment of the car.

…I’m just keeping an eye out in the App…I would think it would show up there before the letter arrives…

Nothing yet. Nobody being notified, so it seems, maybe 1 person.
I plug in VIN numbers from late 2023's and early 2024's to the recall app, none show a recall.
Someone pointed out in another posting, don't expect the VIN's to be sequential( example: all from Aug-19 to Sept-24).
So, GM must know the VIN's affected but do not have a plan on what they want to do?
For now, no news is good news, keep driving.

Lots of false information on Facebook. One poster claimed her car was already in for the recall, and her dealer had four more cars in service for that issue. Others claimed the dealers had the VIN's and were only checking cars brought in for routine service, while yet another claimed that all 2023 and 2024 cars were affected.
My own dealer still has no further information, so I'll go with what they tell me.

I would assume if you get a new transmission under recall, you can probably score another "free" included service. I also would not assume this is even a thing, or at least, not a thing for a majority of vehicles. I would prefer to continue proper maintenance on the original transmission since chances are that its probably just fine. I would rather have my factory installed original DCT rather than one installed at a dealership.

Using myChevrolet app > Help Center > Recall and Warranty > scroll down to "Recalls"

So that screen is actually showing up in your App that your vehicle is being recalled?

Same here, I just checked for my 2023 and it says no recalls. Under "learn more", it says basically that if you have heard of a recall but it is not listed, then your VIN is likely not affected.

Bummer on the recall… the notice is dated 4/22/2024? If I’m reading that correctly?
My build date is 9/26/23, an early 24. Time to check the app again….
Still nothing on my car…
Anyone know why there is a Y2 after the year and model of my car on the gm website? I enter my VIN to check for recall and it says
2024 Chevrolet Corvette Y2
I wonder what the Y2 means? 🤔

The 2 was added for the mid engine platform. All C8s are Y2s and from there they distinguish from coupe or convertible.

You could also possibly get it from your monthly OnStar emails. Below is mine as well.

I used to worry about all the reported issues on my cars... I about drove myself crazy worrying about my VW DSG having some major failure and needing to be replaced... I really loved that car but I ended up selling it over the concern that there might be an issue someday. Before that I was all worried about pre-cat failure on my MR2 Spyder.... more recently reports of transmission failure on our Wrangler - well, to be fair, all kinds of things are expected to fail on Jeeps.

it’s great to be informed but once you know what you know…. It’s best to let it go unless and until someone from gm or your dealer tells you otherwise….
