I was having a discussion last night with a fellow C8 owner about Coupes and HTC preferences.
I have had both in the C8 and he has an HTC.
We started speaking about the aesthetics of each and he kept focusing on the carbon flash painted Nacelles and roof and that makes the HtC very sexy to look at.
I, on the other hand, think the HtC is better looking than the Coupe but I hate the painted nacelles and roof and prefer it to be body color. The black accents from the mirrors, spoiler, sideskirts, and blades are enough contrast for my eye.
Curious, what do most of the HTC fans prefer, carbon flash painted or body color?
It depends on the car color. I think the black roof and nacelles looks good with some colors, not with others. No matter the color, Mine is all body color. I don't like the black nacelles only, no matter the body color..
the black top thing is just because ferrari does/did it, but that doesnt make it mandatory. to me its kinda blocky/chunky, and so i prefer the whole thing body color. maybe even the boomerang body color also, depends on which color, mostly.

The carbon flash nacelles and roof make the HTC look like an actual convertible. It also continues a nice color theme throughout since many exterior accents come in carbon flash as well.
When I saw my first Torch Red C8 in person the first thing I thought was it was too much red. At the time three of my four previous Corvettes were red. For my 21 HTC I opted for the black five spoke wheels, the carbon flash side mirrors, and the OEM splash guards and side skirt. I left the boomerangs black. That was enough accents for me.
I voted for body color, but carbon flash would pop with specific colors. I think white, red, and yellow colors would look great with carbon flash nacelles.

I personally skipped the black nacelles. I wasn’t going to pay extra to paint over the Red Mist that I had to pay extra for in the first place🤣. I do however think the HTC looks good regardless of them or not.
I voted body color. I think the black top looks nice and really good with some colors, but it wasn't for me.
I really like the HTC aspect of this generation and the fact that it's not a ragtop. To me, the black feels like I'm trying to get the ragtop look with an HTC. Also, once I started seeing black roofs on Camry's, that kind of soured me on the trend as well.
