Cam and Valve spring suggestions
Would like to see if some here can help give some advise on a cam.
Car is a 85 C4 stock L98 TBI.
Car will be used just as a fun street car that will go to the track a few times a year.
Plan is to use Vortec 062 Heads. Valve springs ground will be done at the local shop.
Unsure on what springs to use....Would like some advise on that.
Car is going to be swapped from TPI to a carb.
Using a Edelbrock RPM Air gap intake and 650 Double Pumper Holley. Not concerned about hood clearance as it will have a scoop put on.
Engine lower is going to be just the stock setup for now as I build a 383 for it over time.
If some could help with Valve spring and Cam selection that would be a huge help.

Not sure what flat tappet cams are suggested these days for your setup as you have detailed.
Big step in another direction would be hydraulic roller retrofit lifters, they take a totally different sort of cam, and that cam manufacturer would indicate the parameters for the springs? What kind of track time is planned, drag racing? Open track? Autocross? Competitive or just fun runs? Traction limited? RPM limit for bottom end?
