Default Anothererer Twin Turbo build

Follow along as I start another journey into turbocharging a Corvette! This is my 3rd vette and will be my 3rd turbo setup.

First one was a single S476 that made 1050whp @ 24.5psi on a SBE 5.3. A bad alternator ultimately took that one out.
Found a new donor 5.3 block and had it built with rods, pistons, and Trickflow heads. Went to a twin setup with BW S366s.
Made somewhere in the 1300s @ 40psi. They didn't spool fast enough to my liking so I changed them up to Precision 6766s.
Those made quite a bit more at a little less boost - 1400+ @ 38psi. Ended up breaking a couple things in the drivetrain,
then parted it out.

After a few months, I picked up a base roller and had another 5.3 built. This time with a Molner crank, rods, and Wiseco pistons. Goal was much more power this time around but I abandoned that project before I made much progress with it. Sold the motor to someone that went low 4.20s, letting out, in the 1/8th. So there was definitely some potential there!

Not long after I picked up my current Z06 and decided to do a nasty all motor setup. Ended up making 760whp with that and had fun for about a year with it. Just recently pulled it all apart and started selling it off.

That brings us to now... Another twin turbo Corvette build.

Shortblock:
Sleeved 5.3 LC9 block
Stock LS7 rods/crank
Wiseco pistons
428ci
12:1 compression
Solid roller

Turbo Setup:
Fender mounted VS Racing billet 69/73 turbos
(2) Frozenboost Type 14 A2W intercoolers
Full-ish exhaust (maybe some cutouts to dumps later on)
Custom A2W tank and heat exchanger mounted in the rear of the car
Vivair 1gallon air tank for boost control

Had a ton of fun around 1000whp. Broke a ton of parts around 1400whp. Plan is to split that in the middle and shoot for 1200whp turned up and around 1000whp on wastegates. Still need quite a bit of parts but as of now, the turbo kit is in progress. Still need to decide on what heads and what cam to run. Most likely will be a solid roller.

This is still a 6spd stick car and mainly used for roll racing. Will end up doing an event here and there and maybe a half-mile if I decide to put a 4-6pt in it.

I will be doing the fab work for the turbo kit and also the tuning via a Holley Terminator X.

Progress is going to be a little slow but I will be trying to get it running by the end of the year.

Thank you sir. Definitely no where near professional level but I've been practicing a lot more recently and have been wanting to build something like this since last year when I got the tig machine.

It was fun but also a pain in the ***. Every step forward was a lot of money with little to no return in HP gains. Looking forward to hearing whooshy noises again.

yeah I wanted one for the longest time but I feel like it’s not worth the money to go past low-mid 600s. I’m loving watching these f150s in Texas though lol I’m starting to lean towards the dark side

Yeah, anything passed upper 600s is getting into the territory where it becomes more of a racecar than a car you can cruise around in all the time.

Didn’t get much more done with the turbo kit itself but messed with some wiring over the weekend. Pulled the modified stock harness and ecu out and made sure everything works. I run a TRZ steering column so I have to run an aftermarket switch to control the head lights and blinkers. Found a new little switch panel as well.

What was your NA setup that netted 760hp?

You can search my previous threads for more info but the basic run down was:
CID heads
big hydraulic cam
14.5 compression
E85

Running similar twins but a whooooole lot less boost on a stock bottom end LS3. Love it, gonna be following along. Your wastegate merges make me want to redo mine and route them back to the exhaust.

I've been thinking of doing that with mine as well. We'll see what happens.

Knocked out a good bit more of the wiring and some preliminary plumbing of some of the things that need to be ran.

Mounted the onboard air setup behind the bumper like the last car. Found a small leak from the pressure switch so need to seal that up.

I was going to start welding up the water tank but realized I ordered anodized aluminum instead of bare. So ordered up the right stuff.

Also, I believe I will continue to run CID heads. Going to swap mine for a fresh set. Same intake valves but inconel exhaust and different springs.
