Dang…. I was 1 year too early. I needed one of these and found one for $2900 but just way out of my price range. I may have offered $1200 (someone else on the forum) and was laughed at. I hope you get a decent price for it.

And I've heard some discussion that the shrouds where natural, not painted.
If painted was this the black out paint? Or specifically shot with black paint prior to installation at the factory?
Sorry for all the questions, but its rare to find someone who is an expert on these old shrouds.

Every '66 BB that I have judged has had the shroud painted black. When I was restoring my Duntov awarded '66, I re-painted my shroud semi-gloss black and never lost points for the finish at the Regional or National level.
