Several people have wanted to complain to GM's highest levels about GM's apparent decision not to support our C6Z06 and C6ZR1 cars with replacement parts. Please send your comments, suggestions, and complaints to: Mary Barra, GM CEO at Mary.bara@gm.com and her team's email address is execreferral@gm.com regarding replacement parts availability for our C6Z06 and C6ZR1 cars.

We need to understand how deep of a hole we are in to keep the best Corvette Z06 version alive. Also we need to encourage the aftermarket to address this problem.

CCB’s, fuel pumps, fuel sending units, fuel tank cross over coupler/ gaskets, rad hoses, carbon front and side skirts……and more this list will get bigger
I agree this list will get longer. My intent is to save time for people who need to replace discontinued OEM factory parts, such that they are not having to call a dozen potential suppliers to find what they need. I have been on Corvette Forum for 25 years now, and I cannot remember seeing something like this, but if something already exists -- please let me know.
I think the guidelines for putting a part on the list should be that it is a factory C6Z06 or C6ZR1 factory part which is no longer in production. People who add out of stock parts are not required to add alternate suppliers but they can if they have them. Other people can add alternate suppliers as well. I think we should not list used take-off parts as a supplier/source, but a reputable parts rebuilder should be OK.
RedZ4me: When I saw your list, I had to wonder if these parts are all ZR1 specific? If so, we need to specify that as well. Did you go looking for these parts on GMpartsdirect? What did you substitute for your car?

I think the purpose of this list is to not just to list discontinued parts, but to post where one can find replacement parts.
Quality parts are hard to find, I hate when looking for a part, some Chinese crap comes up. I know a lot of OEM parts are made in China but they are a least supposed to be made to manufacturers specs. The knockoff stuff is of very poor quality.
It would be nice if we had access to GM's parts locator so we could find NOS parts in dealers inventory not just at the online retail outlets.

this would be really helpful. My Z was hit last December and it took 6 months to get body parts. Faircloth couldn’t say how long a wait so I had body shop contact Corvette Central. They offered a Fiberglass fender for $3000 and about 6 weeks plus. I looked farther down their list and found a pair of ZR1 carbon fiber fenders for $2200 for the pair and got them in 4 weeks.

You are exactly correct and as Bruno and Rocsvette expressed it gives us the opportunity to signal the quality of the replacement parts as well as the time frame needed to get them. I had a recent experience of cracking an OEM carbon fiber front fender. The problem did not disable the car. I went to Faircloth to have a replacement built, and the result was a very high-quality part albeit several weeks later. This worked well for me, because I could accept the wait time to get the best part. My reality was that the only alternative was to have a body shop acquire a damaged OEM fender salvaged from a wrecked Z06 and repair it with filler. I did not accept this alternative.

been bothering me for a while that as time goes and I keep reading more and more parts discontinued. I have left and right fuel senders thinking I may need them one day for common p2068 code and have one brand new right side oem side carbon skirt. These three items avail now if anyone needs them. Tube for skirt is big, might be costly to ship from Ontario Canada though.

pm me a price on the oem side skirt shipped to 44070 area code in the states.
@Z.06 Sometimes the littlest things are really important. As you know, I'm from C5 land. Our fobs have been out of production for many years. You guys might want to check out if there are any fobs left, as I'm sure they're out of production. For the most part, the aftermarket C5 fobs suck......

There will be others sp please add them. Now we should apply our collective experience to add alternative suppliers of NOS or acceptably rebuilt parts on the list.
I think it would be to the advantage of the companies in the aftermarket Corvette business to support this post with their knowledge/experience. As GM/Corvette stop supporting our C6Z06 and ZR1 with production and inventory, it is natural for the aftermarket to move in and support that market. C6Z06/ZR1 owners need your support, so the intent of this post is to most efficiently direct current owners to reputable NOS and remanufactured replacement parts. My ask is that you help me update the data, such that the car owners can be efficiently directed to suppliers.
I had to use a company in Tennessee to repair my HVAC control module that was "discontinued" by GM, apparently there are several companies now out here that will repair these electronic modules.
