Griebs Garage Supercharged C6
I recently started a Tiktok/Instagram and Youtube page dedicated to my car activities and adventures. Grieb's Garage Youtube Channel
I have posted about my corvette modifications as well as a step by step guide on how to install your own supercharger kit.
Earlier 2025 I purchased my first ever Corvette after doing countless hours of research. I decided I wanted a centennial edition grand sport with a manual transmission for the carbon flash paint as well as the Alcantara interior.
My previous vehicles are a 2006 Acura RSX Type S as well as a 2005 Honda S2000 I used to track in NY/Canada.
Here's the listing photos. I flew one way to San Francisco and picked up the car and then drove from San Fran back to Phoenix down the PCH. 2012 Grand Sport with 60k miles.
One of the first modifications I made was the addition of an MGW short shifter that I think is a huge upgrade over stock. (No photos)
I knew I wanted more power and I wanted to do things right from the jump. I researched supercharger kits and I ended up choosing a ECS Kit with the Novi 1500. Below is a photo of the beginning of my supercharger install. Here's a link to episode 1 of my How-To if you're interested in your own supercharger kit. It can be done solo in a garage with basic tools.
Here's the kit installed:
I ended up picking up some 1 7/8" headers off facebook marketplace for a good deal. I cleaned up the headers and applied some bluing using MAP gas:
I bought some heat reflective material for the torque tube tunnel and some other heat proof sleeves for trans lines & O2 sensor wires:
This made a huge difference at keeping heat off the shifter tunnel area inside the car.
I wanted to keep the stock valves exhaust for highway drives so I had a mobile welder come by the house to help me make these with some reducers off Amazon.
When driving around with the valves closed the car sounds stock.
Dyno results. Keep in mind this is a 100% stock LS3 with only headers and a supercharger. I am limited to 91 octane here in Phoenix and this was a 110 degree day. I got the car tuned by Cordes performance in Tempe AZ and I can't say enough positive things about them. the whole process they were super helpful and informational about the car. The tuner said I would benefit from running e85 or a meth kit along with heads/cam which I may look into in the future but for now I am enjoying the car before taking it apart again.
Some pics I took after tuning. I really dislike the look of the wheels..
With that being said I ended up buying a set of wheels of Alibaba after seeing others doing it. This is a fully forged wheel. Details in this video
If you're thinking "How do these Chinese forged wheels compare to a reputable brand?" Here's a video testing them:
Here they are on the car wrapped in some Toyo Proxes R888R:
I felt the car sat a little high so I lowered the front a little a modified the rear bolts to go lower than the stock bolts to limit. I go over how to do that in this video
And here's how the car sits as of Nov 2025. Been enjoying it more than any car I have previously owned. Let me know if you have any questions on anything.
Update as of 5/7/2026:
Since the last time I posted I have made some significant changes to my car. I made my own splitter/engine tray with the idea that if air can't escape under the engine/radiator then this will help force air thru the coolers/radiator. Here's how I made my DIY splitter & splitter rod extensions:
I melted my O2 sensor wiring even though they were wrapped in fiberglass heat sleeves, i have since rewired them and switched to a DEI titanium heat sleeve that seems to be holding up:
After struggling with cooling I decided to make my own radiator shroud & fan kit using dual 11" SPAL high output fans. Please see video below for a full DIY:

I've been considering going down to the valley and having Cordes do a baseline pull and get some dyno #'s and maybe a slight retune if needed. My setup was originally tuned with 91 by A&A in California. So you were happy with the tuning at Cordes? What do they charge for the session?

Thank you for the kind words and working with us!
Will you be at Firebird next weekend (Nov 14 & 15) for the Street Car Takeover?

How much boost are you making and is it on 91 or meth?
Been awhile since I've paid attention to what is being done. In the past we added meth and the external pump then pulled the restrictor.
Meth injection is more reasonable as it only requires use of the washer fluid reservoir, a pump and nozzle. It only activates at WOT

Keep us in mind for any of the parts as you saw we build these all day long and carry all the items to do this properly.
It was the MAF sensor. Just doing a cam these can make mid 600 on straight 91 safely, add an aux kit, id1050x, and flex kit and you will make low 700 on ethanol.
