Up to now, I’ve never had a coupe. I’ve had four C2 convertibles and all were 63/64. My first 65 too. Lots incorrect, NOM, PW/PS, Stinger hood, side pipes, bolt on knock offs….it’s just a nice driver. Really great condition and something to have fun with. Originally Glen Green but repaint in a darker green. Should be here in a few weeks once I arrange shipping. Looking forward to some improving and tinkering!
Never really wanted a coupe, like V1Rotate I have had four convertibles (64,65,67,67). The coupe was bought from a friend's wife who had inherited it twenty-five years ago. She wanted to fix it up but never did, so I figured I would get it running, drive it a bit, and sell it on. Well, that was 2019 and I have fallen in love with the coupe, I makes a great year-round driver here in East Texas and is not for sale yet.

Similar paths, Polo! Good to hear you’ve enjoyed it so long. I’m planning on a few improvements to make it a fun and enjoyable driver and give me something to tinker on. Looking forward to it getting here!

Another thing I really like and never had before are power windows. I thought they were for Cadillacs not Corvettes, I was wrong again. If yours are in good working order you will appreciate them.
Nice to see so many nice Coupes, and in Texas. I am located on Cedar Creek Lake. I bought my L79 66 Coupe in November. Numbers matching, 4-speed, AC, PS, PB and I am correcting some things that "Bubba" worked on, especially wiring. Love the car and hopefully will have the AC upgraded and running in time for the Texas summer.
So, interestingly, the previous owner tells me it was fuel injected and has a 4.11 rear. I didn’t crawl over it to look at numbers but do know it’s a 70 350 engine in there now. I bought the car for what it is, and not what I “think” it is since it’s had so much done and is a great driver. When it gets here I’ll crawl over it to look for clues but know these all can be added later. No high HP tach, and yes, 66 seat covers. Was the tach swapped out during the resto twenty years ago along with using wrong seat covers? No clue. It’ll be a fun one to drive. I’m not a fan of the Stinger hood, but overall the look of the car really pops! Yes, it’s a really dark green now. Almost black.
That’s the plan! Yes, and 67 bolt in KOs too. The front radiator support has the fuel injection air cleaner opening too, which has me looking for other clues now. The gauge cluster, however, was swapped out during the semi-restoration years ago and another put in with the lower HP oil pressure and tach. Curious about the air cleaner mounting bracket inside the fender. Going to be a fun car to cruise in, no doubt!
The otc rad supports had the FI ac hole. If the car had a new front end replacement that could explain it being there .
Look at the 4 screw holes that mounted the S tube to see if they were used .
