Odd / Interesting things you have found in your C4 while working on it
Starting a fun, frivolous thread here. As I was working on the climate control head unit I had removed the armrest and under it I found alot of mysterious goop. But stuck in that puddle of goop was a cheap diamond ring. Has some pits on it and fake stones. I could imagine the previous owner hiding it under the armrest while he cruised around looking for the ladies...
Has anyone else found anything interesting or odd in your C4? Post below.
When I took my 88 fully apart we had the front K member out to blast and paint. Not only did I find a second build sheet (completely useless and falling apart), but a spent shell casing. I know I have it somewhere but cant remember where I put it. I believe it was from a .38, and the firing pin indentation was shaped like a double "D". Never saw that before..Plus there is NO WAY it wasnt put there on purpose - probably when car was built.
Also a nice ladies wrist band I sold for 200 bucks in 2003 that was under passenger seat..

Maybe the double D was a fail to fire? And they pulled the trigger again? It's possible it fell out of the guys pocket when he had a range trip that weekend. It happened to me back in the day, a shell casing was stuck in my shoe and it fell out while I walked up the stairs to work the next day. Luckily I saw it, being a CA work place and all..
A few years back in a 96 LT-4 that I purchased in Dallis TX. I removed all the interior found receipts from Fl. and Penn. ,I could tell from the dates on them the C-4 had been spending time in both states, not just short visits, so got me thinking so got a FOX (LOL) report on the thing well this is weird ,apparently it was purchased new by two people at the same time WHAT I guess in Fl. in 93 you could do that ?? Two guys (not related) might be brothers in laws I guess friends weird, anyway had the two names Add. ETC. Singed on the ORG, title one lived in Fl. one lived in Penn. and the receipts confirmed the 93 spent time in both states, so finding the receipts led me to this weird to me discovery.
Only thing I've ever found were some 10mm sockets and a couple of clamps down in the abyss, in that spot between the suspension and the bottom of the engine block, when I had all of the front components of the engine apart.

Pulled out this rusted wrench under where the hood hinges out while swapping my air box. Who knows how long its been there.
coincidentally dropped one of my own wrenches in the same exact spot and couldn't get to it without taking the hood off. I just decided to leave it there. equivalent exchange, i suppose...

Lol I dropped one in the same spot a week into getting the car (Dec of 2024) and finally fished it out with a magnet last night.

A broken and spilled bottle of metallic purple fingernail polish in the passenger's power seat mechanism.
Took me forever to clean it out of the mechanism so that it worked smoothly....
