anyone recently got one? quality all the same? recommendations?
thank you. needing early oyster color 1978 for a 79. big pricing differences, will pay for quality.
THANKS!
Let me know if you are looking for door pulls for the car. I picked up a new set from a form member not knowing that there was a difference between 78,79 and 80,81 colors. the 78,79 are brighter. I will let you have them at a damn good price. The miss match is more than I want.
Rookie question: Is that a "Slip-On" Cover for the E-Brake plastic cover?
its like a semi solid molded plastic. Im pretty sure I have to remove sides and screw front and into something and pull the rest, thankfully it has been a while. Also time to fix myclock that finally quit and the second hand fell off lol!

That's the parking brake console for 77-82 Corvettes, it's completely different than the hard plastic one used on 68-76's. And before someone asks, it's not possible to use on an earlier Corvette without also replacing the shift plate, the console side panels, the center gauge cluster, etc.
Man I was way off from what you were asking for lol...
Remove the 2 extra screws from item #18 (screws 1 each side #19) and pull it, you can then tuck the new cover into the slots much easier...
Al’s website isn’t the greatest and I found its best to call and talk with Melonie.
She is great, has been with Al a long time and really knows her stuff.
They also manufacture items that are not shown on their website, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for it doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t make it.
Thought i would share my experience al knoch as i just received.
color seems ok
not happy with the grate supports showing through (not same pattern as OEM) . I know original shows through but thought that happened over time.. thoughts?
also web site USA made.. this is made in taiwan
update.. Al Knoch.. i got my refund today for the part..
no refund for shipping as they said at first they will send me return label.. then emailed again said company policy no return labels.. they knew why i was returning as they asked twice why..
then i paid for myself to ship back.. week later undeliverable.. wrong address. Sent AGAIN paid again to second address they gave me.. had to ask for status.. refund part tax only..I am cutting bait..and stress
top flight says back ordered but call and said it was in.. will see..
I have to say, I have heard alot of good about Al Knoch over the years. I ordered my carpet from them a few years ago and was less than impressed with the service. Enough that I will never do business with them again. What you had to do would have had me on the phone chewing someone’s hind end.
i ordered another from topflight.. confirmed that theirs is made in PA... we shall compare
Up until about 15ish years ago the park brake consoles were still coming from Chevrolet. They were being made in the US, but only came in black. After Chevrolet discontinued them Keen Parts started reproducing them overseas, but only in five colors. The console Knoch sent you looks like the oyster one made by Keen.
I wasn't aware that Top Flight had started making 77-82 parking brake consoles, but I'm not surprised. I assume Top Flight is only making them in black and dying them. This is how they handle most of the plastic parts they make.
Knowing Knock and their website, I wouldn't be surprised to learn it says "Made in USA" because it dates back to when they were still coming from Chevrolet, and they've just never gotten around to updating their website.

this may be true with top flight. When they left me a voicemail i thought they said console in and they have to dye it. But i also ordered 2 cans of oyster dye so maybe i mis-heard. They don’t ship until order full.
