Any chance you will trade your C7 for a 2027 with a bigger engine
The 2027 Stingray comes with a 6.7 liter engine, 535 hp and a 13:1 compression ratio and possibly a $75,000 price tag.
GM has not said much about whether the 2027 model will have active fuel management but I will guess that it will. it will have the same auto transmission but tuned for more torque. No manual.
Would you remotely consider the possibility of trading your C7 for a 2027 Stingray?
Very doubtful
I have 2017 2LT M7 GS Black Convertible…….not many built like this one
and just do not see spending $150k for the latest go fast model that would bury me below the jail
Also the new LS6 6.7L V8 is an OHV not a DOHC. Its a traditional SBC.
Thanks for catching that. I took it out. I had read multiple articles about the engine and must have seen that in an earlier article. I searched for it online and Google brought up this thread.
I am old fashion, I like it better when I or the bank own the car. I will wait and see if the rumors are true and GM joins the trend and starts charging a fee to keep items running on the car, like they do with OnStar. Only they will be doing it on stuff that you paid for when you bought the Vette.
Honestly, with me, the way GM ignores responsibility for issues caused by them, even generational ones, is getting old. jmho
I need to see the GS in person, likely at Carlisle this year. While I want a C8 (Z06) I'm having a hard time coming to terms with letting go of my M7 GS because I know I'll never find this exact spec again. If I do go the C8 route, it would likely be the GS with the aero package depending on price, only because the Z is above my price range. As for the Stingray, I'm not a fan of the look of the narrow body cars and I don't care for the look of any C8 model without the aero package.
