Just got a notification today about an issue with some 2025 and 2026 Corvettes that basically says "Drivers may not be notified of a rear turn-signal lamp failure."... Released: 2026-04-02... GM Program # N252541250
Below is what I saw (copied and pasted here) when I entered my VIN and did a search on this recall...
"Description: General Motors has decided that certain 2025 to 2026 model year Chevrolet Corvette vehicles fail to conform to Section S9.3.6 of Federal/Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (F/CMVSS) No. 108, “Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.” Drivers may not be notified of a rear turn-signal lamp failure.
Safety Risk Description
If a driver is not notified of a failed rear turn-signal, there is an increased risk of a crash.
Repair Description
GM will update software calibrations in the vehicle’s exterior lighting control module. For vehicles that are capable of receiving software changes using wireless over-the-air (OTA) technology, owners who have accepted applicable terms and conditions will have the opportunity to accept these software changes via OTA without having to bring their vehicle to a dealership. Alternatively, all owners may have the updates performed at a GM dealer."
Yep, looks like a nationwide stop sale on all affected cars. I notice a huge amount of cars either disappearing from their dealer websites or no prices associated with them.

Yes, I also saw that, the "stop sale" part... I would guess this will just be part of a software update, right??? I just did my third software update (in a year) a few days ago but I'm assuming this was not released until 4/2/26... So new... Next update that we, owners, do??? Or do you think we need to have the dealer do something???
Seems like a small problem but obviously important as a safety issue...
I checked mine today, it says no updates available. Either they haven't pushed it out to everyone yet, or my dealer already installed it on my last visit.
My 2026 ERay automatically asked my to run the update when I returned home this afternoon. I answered yes to a few prompts and followed the instructions. The update ran quickly, less than 10 minutes and replied that the update was updated successfully. Infotainment screen shot picture attached below

Interesting... Thanks for sharing information on the recall update... My 2025 is included but it's not yet prompted me for an update... I've done three previous updates (dealership did the 1st but I've done the next 2)... I've never seen any of my updates tell me "the car will turn off automatically"... Instead, my updates always told me to turn off the car and that the update would then start shortly... What you show appears to be saying that the software will shut the car off for you... Interesting difference in this recall update... thanks for posting...
I remember getting a software update a few weeks ago which I did. I thought it was for the recall. But when I look at the app, it says I have an outstanding recall for the rear light notification.
has anyone else had the update done and still see it open in the app?
