I have a 2016 Z06 that was on a battery tender all winter. When I went to start it, it was dead. I charged the battery and it seems ok. The issue now is that my dash lights and infotainment system dont light up in the garage, but when I move it outside, it works as normal. Any idea what needs to be reset?
So the battery was dead after being on a maintainer all winter. This means: 1) a weak battery, 2) a bad maintainer, 3) bad AC connection to the maintainer, or 4) bad DC connection to the car.
The sensor on top of the dash senses ambient light levels and is an input to determine day / night illumination. Is anything on the dash blocking the sensor? Also try rotating the dash dimmer ****.
Low battery voltage when starting is the cause of many electrical gremlins. How old is the battery? They typically last 3 -4 years - yes, some guys seem to get ridiculously long battery life, but not typical.

Have the battery load tested or replace if old.

Thanks Ron for your reply, simple problem, but it was frustrating. I had the dealer check the battery and it tested good. The issue was that the dimmer switch somehow got turned off. If I would have looked through the manuel, I would have figured it out. Good thing is that the dealer did not charge me if you can believe that. This car is new to me so I didn't see the dimmer switch. I feel dumb but I learned.
