Can someone tell me what the differences are between the 63 340 hp manifold, and the 64 365 hp manifold?
63 340 is aluminum designed for the AFB type carburetor. 3794129 is the casing number.
64-65 is aluminum designed for the Holley type carburetor. 3844461 is the casting number. 365 HP in 64-65 and 350 HP in 65.
Maybe I should explain what I am trying to do. I have a 63 convertible without the original block. It has the correct casting number, and approximate date code, but it’s a T block not an F block. When I purchased the car it had a quadrajet, and a random Chevy cast iron manifold. The paper work I got with the car shows the engine was rebuilt to the 340 HP specs that the car was built with. Since I was 19 I have always wanted a 327/365 hp c2. I currently have an aftermarket 600 CFM Holley clone ( will get a 2818 when I have the $), 64 aluminum intake, and 64 air cleaner. I am looking for diagrams, pictures etc. showing how the crankcase is vented. I have also added a 67 dual master cylinder and power brake booster. So I need the fittings to connect the booster. I hope I may this clear. Thanks in advance, Mitch
