Remote key problem

Default Remote key problem
For my 2021 Stingray I used the remote to start the car many times. It will not start the car now. I changed the battery in the key and the door locks worked before and now. The frunk I have to try several times but starting does not work. Any suggestions?

Check engine light on?
Usually, if there is a code present the remote start won't work.

I'm sure you have already done this but just to be sure.... you did lock the doors with the remote before hitting the remote start and the remote lock worksd, right?

I think that feature is free for a limited time and you may have to add an OnStar plan that includes it. My remote start on my '22 hasn't worked in years.

Bob,

I have the OnStar Remote Access plan on my 2022, so I can't weigh in on your statement. However, this is the first time I've ever heard that you need an OnStar plan for the key fob remote start button to work. Anyone else out there who can confirm this?

If it is low on fuel it wont remote start, or as already said if there is a CEL it wont remote start either...

Bob, I think he is talking about the fob, not the remote start from the phone which does require OnStar.

Your manual lists some conditions that may disable it. Check them if you have not already. Also, with the frunk (and the remote start too, actually), you have to push the respective button twice. I assume you are already doing that.
