All C8s have integrated splash guards. You can buy extended ones from multiple vendors, and I definitely recommend them. Don't overpay, though. I think I paid under $200 on eBay for a full set for my latest Z06.

I'm not sure what you mean by integrated splash guards.. The fenders?? I mean extended splash guards. I'm trying to understand why there isn't a factory option when they offer one for stingray?

Yes, if you do extended splash guards, they replace the factory "splash guards". As to why there's no factory option, that's a GM question. I'm kind of surprised they don't offer them as I'm sure many would spring for them.
Well the ones that come on the car really don’t do much in the way of protecting from debris getting kicked up….I went with EoS They are ~$150 for all 4 in ABS, ~$250 for all 4 in Carbon Fiber Flash….no reason to pay any more..

thanks! How would you say these perform for keeping mud/water/debris from spraying up off the wheels onto the paint?

I think they do a decent job, i was originally against putting them on until I drove my car home form the dealer, I can’t over state how much “stuff” these tires pick up and discard, it was hair raising on my initial drive. Now I can’t image not putting them on. I attached a few pics, keep in mind that I have 20mm spacers on my rear wheels so they stick out a little more than stock. Let me know if you want to see different angles….
Oh, and they look great on the car which was a big concern of mine….
Edit: my front wheel is turned to the left a tad so it looks like it is more recessed then it really is…pretty much flush

Thanks for sharing - I live on a gravel road. I don't mind if the wheel wells get covered in mud when it rains, but I don't love it getting sprayed all over the side panels. It's not always practical to keep it under 5mph to avoid the spray . Stopping rocks is another nice benefit. Will be ordering these once my vehicle is being built.
The Stingray has a protection package option that includes splash guards, radios screens, and rocker extensions. Splash guards seem to be only offered on the Stingray for some reason.
I’m curious if the full length rockers standard on the GS will offer more protection. I’ll add some PPF on lower sections for added protection. Just not a fan of the look of oversized mud guards on sports car.

Not sure I would call them oversized mud guards. Not any more intrusive than prior generations. I acknowledge they might not be for everyone. This is a SR. Not sure it is even available on the GS in which case I'd go with your idea rather than putting something aftermarket on it.

Maybe? I'll just have to wait and see. I'm also put off by the pricing of PPF. I don't expect perfection on my car, but I do hate wheel spray.
