the version merc49 refers to is called FM Modulator. I've used them in many vehicles over the years. my only complaint is finding a FM frequency that doesn't get interference. In bigger cities or areas almost every bandwidth is covered and you get interference and hear the radio station along with your bluetooth. Or you find frequency that works and 5 miles later it is getting interference. Cheap way to get BT though. The Jabra one that looks like garage door opener and clips to visor worked well and i seem to recall it was wireless/rechargeable.
I recommend the iSimple solution. It intercepts the antenna, so outside of being next to a radio station transmitter, you get no interference. Sadly though, it's now 2x what I paid for it back in like 2018. But the quality is great and it allows you to keep the stock unit in place. Maybe search ebay for a used one.
Does anyone know a vendor that can add Bluetooth to my 1990 C4 AM/FM/Cassette/CD stock radio?
i believe Vettetronics Will do it. He’s on eBay check him out. He’s rebuilt my radio and ac controllers before, he mentioned the bt feature but I just wanted oem functioning nicely.
