The OTA for the tail light fix tried to update on my car. Kept getting to 99%, then started over again and again. Drained the battery to 4.2V. Had Roadside jump it and took to dealer. They figure out that it was the failing update. Checked the battery which was OK and they did the update. Never had this happen before and don't know how Chevy could be so stupid not to cancel after a few tries. Just a heads-up. Only OTA on '26s, '25s need dealer install.
You'd think they would have figured this out by now. Draining the battery during a failed OTA update was a common problem in the early days. My advice was to always roll down the driver's side window (if practical) and return to the car in about an hour to make sure everything went OK. I guess people need to start doing that again.
On my 2026 Eray, about a week ago I did the taillight recall update with no issues. Today, there was another update for some bug fixes, and it took 2 1/2 minutes to complete with no issues. The latest update was version 661.21
I got lucky, update finished and nothing messed up afterwards.
Could you connect your battery tender or does the front hood need to be closed?
In the past I have connected Ctek charger with the frunk ajar during several different OTA's and no issue.
Today, I sat in the car with the windows down and the frunk popped open just in case I needed to get to the battery. The OTA went without an issues.
Good to know. I have a 2026 and haven't even been in it since April 8. I've been out of the country and it's in my garage plugged in. I'm getting new wheels and I was thinking about having the dealer install the wheels and do the update at the same time.

Downloaded the update two days ago in my garage with no issues. Took about 10 minutes. Left the drivers window down and went out to check on it after 15 minutes and it was done. Got the "Updated Successfully" message when I started the car.
My 2025 Z06 completed this update just fine. Not sure how it works as the car is parked in my garage and I live in a cellular dead zone. I have to drive about a mile up the road to get a cell signal.

Oh well, whatever works!
Now this has me thinking: I've not even given thought to a connection but I assume it can connect to my home wifi?

I too live in a cell phone dead zone, but I have my car connected to my home wifi and the OTA was done in my garage. As a side note, my car is always hooked up to the battery tender when in the garage.
Connecting a 2025 Corvette to home Wi-Fi is done via the infotainment system to enable software updates,, Google Assistant, and app downloads. Access this by selecting Settings > Wi-Fi on the screen, selecting your home network, and entering the password.
My early build 2025 just got the OTA update, fairly quick software update and the Chevy App reflected the compliance shortly afterwards
I’m gonna go check mine right now. I initiated the update after parking it in the garage yesterday. Hope all went well. I don’t wanna have to go back to the dealer, I was just there a week ago for an oil change and inspection.

I would like to know where all the battery energy dissipated to.
