I'm having my LS2 rebuilt with bigger cam lifters springs new clutch new water pump new oil pump etc. I want to get rid of the plastic covers and get new valve covers. Any recommendation? Pics would be great.
If you still plan to mount the coils to the valve covers, I would just see if you could find a local shop to powdercoat the factory LS2 valve covers for cheap.
Otherwise, Holley makes quite the assortment from standard height, tall height, and ones with covers for the coils. https://www.holley.com/products/engi...gm_ls_engines/
I have a set of Holley tall valve covers. They are for a dry sump so no oil fill port on the passenger side cover. Have bosses for mounting the coils. I really like them.
I saw this setup yesterday at Cars and Coffee Woodlands TX. The packs are mounted on a rail, floating over the valve covers. Looks clean. This is on a C6 Z06.
Really nice looking engine bays. Thanks for the ideas.
I'm going with these since The car is Lemans Blue. New cam and all the fixins are BTR. Also installing blue silicon hoses. Now I need a way to hide the mess of wires on top. I also have the Fast102 intake, though it is black. Will I need longer plug wires?
