Rather than completely replacing the headlights on my 08 because of the expense and the deviation from a stock look, I've purchased a kit from Amazon that replaces high and low beam headlight bulbs with LED's. At 82 years old, I'm noticing night driving becoming more of a challenge. This was confirmed after a recent night time trip from a local car show. I've had great luck with LED bulbs on my daily drivers and hot rods but I'd really appreciate any comments about using them on our Corvettes before I open the box and install them.
That said, the LEDs that are direct replacements for D1S bulbs usually work pretty ok. Better than a faded out HID bulb, but not as good as a new LED projector. LED high beams are no big deal at all.
Personally I would be looking into the LED projector retrofit@TheRadioFlyer offers. Not sure if he has an option for it as a service, but you can keep the nice OEM look and get better performance that way.
I also read somewhere. I’m not sure where now but putting led bulbs in the OEM lens isn’t very friendly to the led bulbs beams sp you may not get the light beam your wanting. Amazon is good about returns maybe just give it a go and let us know your findings. Hope they work for you.
I saw last Friday night car show C6 with headlight cover looking like there melting, and asked him he mentioned he replaced the bulbs, I felt lens and they were hot, I hope you installed the correct one, cause this shouldn't happen.
I'm sending the Amazon LED lights back because of a lack of clarity regarding fitment. Instead, I ordered high and low beam LED bulbs from Vette Lights. They are more expensive but I'm much more assured about getting a proper fit. Will report after I've installed them.
Yeah I think you made smart choice I've never purchased stuff from him but I've spoke with him he's very knowledgeable and a nice guy if I ever need to in the future I will purchase off them
I ran LEDs in the stock projector and the beam pattern is spot on and much brighter than the OEM Xenon. I also ran LED high-beams which work great. Way better than OEM and much less $$ than aftermarket headlights which are pushing $1,000+

These lowbeam bulbs are the style you want. Easy peasy. They're not perfect, but probably 90% there. Better than aged out OEM bulbs, but probably not as good as brand new Phillips bulbs.
I too have used the Sealight 1:1 LED bulbs. I have had them in for the better part of 6 months and they work flawlessly. All mine have been replaced, marker lights, low beams, high beams and driving lights. They have built in resistors and are canbus ready. I have had such good luck and like these so much that I replaced all the vehicles I drive with these, my 03' Silverado and my 91 Z28 and all have worked to perfection. Auxito is also a good brand to use.

Rather than completely replacing the headlights on my 08 because of the expense and the deviation from a stock look, I've purchased a kit from Amazon featuring these 9005 H11 headlight bulbs combo that replaces high and low beam headlight bulbs with LEDs. LEDs work great on C6 Corvettes and plenty of owners have made the switch without issues. The main thing to watch for is a bulb out warning on the dash since the lower current draw can fool the computer into thinking a bulb has failed, usually fixed with small load resistors that better kits include. Make sure the kit has a built in fan or heat sink since the housing is fairly tight. Beam pattern can be adjusted by rotating the bulb if needed. Given your experience with LEDs on your other vehicles you already know what a good result looks like so go ahead and open the box.
