It has been a while since I have been on the site here; cheers.
my 73, with a 4 speed is hard to push (in neutral). With the rear toe in, I realize that increases the effort. Others than tire pressure, has anybody had success in making the car more efficient to "free coast"? It would seem there is some efficiency gains to be had. Thanks
Making it lighter in general has many benefits. Here’s a thread about it. If you’re looking to just roll it around by hand easier I would get a set of wheel dollies.
Tire pressure and alignment will have the biggest impact.
Assuming everything is in good shape, look into DRP wheel bearing spacers for the front. I just picked up a set to help with a different issue but it's said that they decrease rolling resistance.
I have a highly maintained 77. I push mine back and forth frequently in the garage. It's rolls pretty easily actually.
I'm not young. I have cardiovascular disease. And I can roll it.
manual transmission with it in neutral.
I find the easiest way is to push on one of the rear tires in the direction I want to go. If that helps at all.
