I can drop mine from a couple of feet and it will pull down automatically. If you leave it open for a while before shutting it, you have to push the open button on the fob or under the bumper to wake it up again. The rear hat hatch will close automatically all the time when pressed downward. The front latch is finicky.

I leave the frunk slightly open while the trickle charger is connected for several days between drives. Would always have to re-open the frunk before attempting a soft-close, like the car wouldn't remember that frunk was open for that long.
MY 2024, so 2-years now been doing it that way.
Today, I did the same cycle, but frunk soft close would not engage, even after several re-opens. I had to force it to close the whole way. Rear soft close is reliable like said above.
Any thoughts on how to get it working again?

On both my 24 & 25, if the frunk is left open over about 10 minutes, you had to unlock it again (either with the fob or under bumper button) for the soft close to work.
