My 2021 locks too.
Did the dealer check your build data to see if that code is there? The fact that something has an option code does not necessarily mean its an extra cost option. There are lots of standard equipment features that have option codes - they should show up in the detailed build data.
That clip you posted is from a 2026 Service Manual. That language was not in the 2020-2022 Service Manuals, but it did appear in the 2024 Service Manual. So its had an option code for at least 3 model years (2024-2026).
A while back there was an issue with DRLs not coming on properly in the daytime. And, it was consistent across a batch of vehicles so if one checked other cars they would have concluded that it must be working right. In fact, it was a defect - it was a batch of ambient light/sunload sensors that produced an out of tolerance voltage, failing to trigger the DRLs. So checking other cars, while a very strong clue, is not 100% conclusive. The memo though seems to clinch it.
I looked this morning for any evidence of it being an extra cost option - in the specs on the Chevrolet website and I don't see it. So it may be just deleted and not available.
I checked an RPO code list and found this:
N04 : LOCK CONTROL, FUEL FILLER CAP, REM CONT
N05 : LOCK CONTROL, FUEL FILLER CAP
N06 : LOCK CONTROL, FUEL FILLER DR REM CONT
N08 : LOCK CONTROL, FUEL FILLER DR REM CONT
N09 : LOCK CONTROL, FUEL FILLER DR
I found it curious that the TB4 is optional. That code was more elusive but I found a list that includes it:
TB4 24691 P BDS M BODY EQUIPMENT LIFT GATE (MANUAL) 960920
So, I don't think that refers specifically to the locking feature for the lift gate - it would appear to be the code for manual liftgate on the coupe I suppose.
The explanation you posted came from a Service Manual for 2026. So, I looked for the equivalent wording in the earlier LEMON manuals to see if/when it became an option. The result is pretty interesting. Here is the language in the 2020-2022 version - with no mention of RPOs.
The 2023 is missing from the list of LEMON manuals - but the language is changed in the 2024 version, now showing the option code. The point being its been an option code since 2024, but as far as I know, no one reported the issue until now in the your 2026 model.
