For sale is a rebuilt steering box from a '64. The steering box part number is correct for '63 through early '69 based on my research so it fits all C2's. I has been disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. Then it was reassembled with new ball bearings, 54 new ***** in the worm assembly, and two new seals. The bronze bushings were not replaced because measuring showed the bushing to shaft clearance to be 0.003" to 0.004", providing a tight fit. During reassembly it was packed with a Mobil grease that won't separate into wax and oil in a year like the junk that I have bought from my local NAPA in recent years. $200, plus $24.80 shipping in a USPS medium flat rate box, within the continental US. This is less than the cost of most rebuild services. PM me if interested.
