I agree. The motor drives a long stem that first crosses to the passenger side pivot, which has another arm attached there that reaches back to the driver side. So if it’s only the driver side, by elimination either the passenger wiper arm is loose, or the pivot plate is loose on the bottom of passenger shaft.
pop the cap off the passenger wiper and check if the nut is loose and the wiper is off the splines.

it did and yes it was loose.
Here is what happened:
A yr aGo I bought silicone blades which are heavier drag across when windshield wet. That extra load made nut loose. I installed GM regular rubber blades.
