Default Front Fascia Alignment to Hood

I purchased a C6 Base with a P1SC Procharger within the last few months. Its in great overall condition but the fitment of the front fascia to the hood is off. The outside edges are fine (fender clips to fascia are good) - the issue is with the middle part, a span of about about 16"18" wide. The middle of the hood sits up maybe 1/8"-1/4" from the fasica. From some angles it seems pretty noticable to me - more than as shown in the pic below.

I've read that adding the supercharger can sag the middle some. I've read many articles of how to adjust this upward but I don't need the whole fascia adjusted upward - just the middle part. The hood is fine - I thought about adjusting it slightly downward, but, if I do this, it will be low on the outside even if flush in the middle.

I've taken out the four retaining screws on the inner lip of the fascia (under the front of the hood) and thought of elongating the two center screw holes, and the slotted holes that clip over the bumper so I can adjust the center of the fasica upward. I only need 1/8'-1/4" and it seems doing this would give me a little added height in the middle, leaving the outer screw holes alone. Has anyone tried this adjustment before? If so how well did it work? I have a dremel that should to the work nicely.

Thanks in advance.

I would pull the bumper off and inspect all the mounting points before making permanent alterations like elongating mounting holes.
From everything I've seen and read, this is not a common issue from adding a sc.
I think you're going to find a damaged or altered support. You may want to fix/replace that before making other alterations.

Thanks. I'll check underneath and see what I can find. I did just have the front fascia pulled and repainted by a body shop that does really good work. The lower guard (with the two skid guards on it for lack of a better term) was replaced. Do you have any idea what other support could affect this? I thought I had read that the Supercharger add (the weight and bulk of it) did alter the front nose alignment in many cases.

The supercharger is mounted to the engine and doesn't in any way interact with the front bumper cover. Depending on the intercooler, it would be mounted under the bumper cover, but shouldn't be supported by it in any way. Thus, not adding any weight to it. The intercooler should be fully mounted to the structure of the car. I'll post a couple of pictures that were shared by forum members of their cars to give you an idea of what you should be looking for.

This is where the middle section of the bumper cover
This is where the middle section of the bumper cover "snaps" down. Check that section.

Thanks, Dez.

I'm going to check these out and compare to mine. I've not seen mine with the front fascia off but have been under it to replace exhaust and lower it a bit - looks just like mine. I have seen other C6's with the alignment issue that I'm having with the fascia - with or without supercharger. I couldn't find any issue with supports when underneath it so I'm not sure of the cause....especially just in the center and not the sides. Thanks for your responses and the pics - its great to see this detail behind the fascia.
