I've had 'DWS44" as my personalized plate since my first car in the early 90s, and since the time I've been able to own multiple vehicles, its always been on my newest "toy". (It's my initials and my lucky number, dating back to Terry Labonte's #44 Piedmont Chevy championship car, for the older NASCAR fans):
Had the plate on my C7 up until the C8 came home...and the first time I legitimately owed two Vettes, it left me with a dilemma. (Funny the things that get sentimental to you, huh?) Ended up transferring "DWS44" to the C8 and added "DWS44C7" for the GSCE.
...and just to keep up the theme, my Jeep has "44 DWS".
This is Betsy 8. I am not a car naming dude usually, but there is history here.
I had an old Chevy malibu back in the day, with rusted out floorboards and so many problems. I used to be able to work on my own cars back in the carb no computer days and it was a constant hassle to keep that POS running. I used to Yell, "c'mon old Betsy dammit" (and worse) when I would struggle to get it started. My second car was a 78 Berlinetta Camaro - also a POS - I had to hold the door closed when I took a corner! I called it "Betsy Too" as a joke. My first nice car was a new 93 Z28 Camaro. I decided that I should keep the "Betsy" moniker going for all V8 Chevy's - and that car was dubbed Betsy III and so on.
Sorry for the split post.
