Default Ughhh: no carbon fiber steering wheel for GS & GSX

I wanted to share a quick observation about the GS and GSX trims—looks like none of them come with a carbon fiber steering wheel. It seems GM has taken a more budget-friendly approach on this one. While it’s not a huge deal, it does add another item to the growing list of mods. Just thought I’d mention it in case anyone else is keeping track of upgrades or planning some customizations.

Indeed I made same observation. Probably there is more differences in the details. I observed GS& GSX trimlevels are like Stingray LT1-LT3. Vs. LZ1-LZ3 for Eray. Would be interesting to compare the options List there are probably mir things beeing optimized for cost. A carbón steering wheel is not cheap, consideraba a 150$ saving over 10000 cars is a fair bit of Money.

So they switched to from the E-Ray's LZ interiors to LT Stingray interiors for the Grand Sport. Pathetic IMO and it is a huge deal if you think about it, it cheapens the car.

Less reasons to jump from a 2LT to 3LT. Pathetic GM did this and also cheeped out on omitting the gas cap lock.

LT and LZ interiors are the same, save for the 1LZ having the HUD and 3LZ having a carbon fiber steering wheel up through 2026.

The CF steering wheel is easy enough to fix, and many aftermarket companies making them, so you don't have to pony up big bucks for a oem wheel.
And, many of those aftermarket wheels can be customized to your liking.

Apparently there a few things not standard on the GSX. CCB not there, and HUD not standard either.

You don't know that yet, there are no solid specs out yet for the GSX, it is not listed on the order guide that has been going around.
You can't assume that what they show for the GS will be the same as what the GSX gets.

I may be wrong but with the added rotational mass caused my the electric motor the reduced weight of the CCBs makes them almost a requirement on the eray, I would be very surprised if they weren’t standard on the GSX…

Looking at this configurator I don’t see any CCB option on the GSX so I’m sure they are standard equipment. Grand Sport has the $9k CCB's available, also included the $20,695 Z52 Track package.

I got the 1LT HTC, which is just perfect for me. I got the CCB's, HUD, awesome wheels that are easy to clean, and I don't miss the other bells and whistles. Almost got them down to $100k. When i looked at my alternatives, the E-Ray seemed like the sweet spot. I have never been sorry I bought it.
