Default Thought on this build

Hello members.
I am tossing around the idea of going with a Procharger setup along with the build I am about to do, but it will more than double the cost. I'd be into this build for $45,000.....BUT would have an insane amount of power if I go this route.
The stock bottom end is good for a max of like 650hp at the wheels. This addition would be with replacing the pistons with forged ones.
Having a hard time convincing myself to spend all of that, but I want it.
What do you guys think?

When you're done you still own a stingray. Waste of money. Start off with a z06. Sell the stingray

I've battled with these types of decisions with most of my car builds. Where I always settle now is to have an end goal for the car, knowing the limit of the platform as a whole and not just the motor. That said, id personally just save the coin, sell your car and buy a C6ZR1 or C7Z06. The motor is in place to handle your power level goals. The driveline, wide body for more tire plus aesthetics.
When you bring a car to the far limits of its potential, things are just very high strung and potentially problematic.

I was looking at the C6 and C7 Z06. The cost of a C6 is not too bad, but I'd still go the cam/headers route on that platform and possibly forced induction. Pricewise, I'd be over the cost of where I am now.
C7 Z06, with cam and headers, I'd be well over cost.
Can't really justify the cost offset when I'd be modding the Z06 anyway.

Although I can afford a ZR-1, I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for one. I've seen C6 ZR-1's for $100K and C7's for almost $200K
I even tossed around the idea of getting a C8 Z06 or ZR-1, but 1: I don't really like the C8 and 2: they are obscenely overpriced.

BTW: The performance shop I go to; the owner has a base 2015 Stingray that is heavily modified to 1,300hp on a built (forged internals) stock block with a large Procharger.
The stock crank is good for 1,000hp. Swap out the pistons and rods for forged and you're all set for 750-900hp with supporting mods.
I'm looking to be in the 800hp range.

No one's paying 200K for a C7 Z06. Again its not just the motor, its the entire driveline, wide body, brakes .. Your upgrading the entire base to support the power.

I was referring to the ZR1 C7.
Sorry for not clarifying.
I live in Florida. The prices here are higher than elsewhere from what I'm seeing.

All good. Yea the C7Z are up in price for many reasons. If planning to modify thr vehicle, id get the Z06 and have that base you're looking for.

That's the most common response I have been getting.

45k for double the whp, and you will have a faster car than a z06 for the same money.

Your going to have grip issues, at minimum you will need track tires on it at all times. Assuming you want grip in 1st/2nd gears, 3rd/4th if you track it.
Unfortunately the base has limitations to max tire width, unless you start cutting out the underside, which isnt a big deal assuming your already heavily modified.

"Paid in full for this already."
Sounds like there is no backing out, nothing to think about.

Your post has way too much fluff, no one is reading the quote a shop gave you.
20k for 650whp?
45k for 850whp?

Personally i would go the 650whp route, due to tire size limitations, stock brakes keep up no problem at this power.
If i was going 850whp, i would be chopping up the underside to increase tire size by 20%+, upsizing brakes, etc.
