Default ZR1 Config: What shouldn't I get from Chevy

I am configuring my ZR1 and am curious if some options are better acquired in the aftermarket. I see the following available in the aftermarket for lower prices, but wonder about quality. I don't want to cheap out, but also don't want to overpay for Chevy-branded parts when the aftermarket makes good comps for less. My car will primarily be used for track days. Here's my list of questionable Chevy config items so far:

1.) Carbon fiber interior trim Level 2 $4,995
2.) Cross brace $2,895
3.) Carbon mirror caps $1,250
4.) Front radiator grill screens $950 or $1,650 (but not for track use? Is there a good option for track use?)
5.) Black lug nuts $295

I would apprecate all POVs from folks who have gone one way or another on these items (and others) and are you happy with your decision?

Many thanks

For primarily used for track days I wouldn't get any of those.

I take your point, with the exception of the cross-brace and the radiator protection.

The cross-brace is supposed to add rigidity to the platform.

And I will want to figure something out for radiator protection on track. I'd hate to lose a track day because a piece of debris kicked up and went one of my radiators.

Disagree. The aftermarket cross-brace is much better than the OEM. The radiator protection says not for track use. Again, would look for aftermarket or fabricate one for a fraction of cost for your peace of mind.

You can get better engineered engine compartment cross brace for some $600, in various colored carbon material from Speedway Composites, Inc. Indianapolis, IN. Very technical and knows how to speak to a customer, something rare these days. I have these braces on my C8 Z06 and ZR1. Speak with Dave, the owner and engineer, tell him John S. from MA six hello.

Carbon side mirror caps can be bought from third party suppliers from $2-400/pair. You can also get a vast array of interior carbon parts in high quality parts from third parties at prices substantially lower than factory.

CF cross brace and radiator grill screens have to be bought after market. They wont let you order them with your ZR1. I tried..

Only one I would for sure get the CF Level 2 interior, let the factory do it,

GM cross brace is useless appearance only garbage from a performance standpoint. Does not attach to strut towers which is a must to stiffen things up back there. Save a bunch of money and buy this that actually works!

I see that now. Thanks for pointing out that the GM cross-brace doesn't attach to the strut towers.

Carbon Fiber Level 2 and Stealth Package is a Must. While you can get Overlays for cheap. These are the actual entire OEM pieces, not Covers.

Believe me, there will be some dumb *** that will put on the cheap CF overlays. There was a Z06 owner in this forum that did that to his car. Spend $150K+, yet puts stickers on his Z06.. Why?

I checked almost every option box on the Z06 and the ZR1, on both I opted for the Carbon Fiber 1 package (and stealth). I did not like the feel of the CF on the center console and much prefer the alcantara.
