Default Most common vacuum leaks?

I have a 1985 and it has a habit of "hunting" while idle. Sometimes it'll go away but it always returns. I pulled the spark plugs while doing some tune up and noticed they were quite white. Is this lean condition related to that same vacuum leak? It it pretty stock minus the air pump and cat.

Smoke test The intake, of nothing is found check fuel pressure. If that’s okay you might have to use winaldl to look at ecm data.

Try this... Go around to each of your vacuum hoses, pull them off and "snip" off a 1/4 inch of the hose and replace. Over time the hose gets "stretched" as it grips the plastic on the fitting and develops small cracks. A 1/4 inch give it fresh hose to grip. Worked for me.

In my 1985, I found a vacuum leak that, in my opinion, one would not normally find.

The cruise control unit hose (part# GM 6148.M -> 5/32") situated above the battery wore thin over time and was leaking air. I was able to see a faint part number. I ordered and replaced a few feet of hose from the Cruise Control to the connector by the back of driver side valve cover.

I hope this may be of some help.

It doesn't take long for the throttle valve shaft to start leaking. I think it was a big mistake not to have a design with easily replacable bushings on the throttle valve shaft.
