I've recently purchased a 1998 base C5.
car is very sweet! Quicksilver Metallic, Stock, 55,000kms, Targa top (currently missing), everything else (mostly) as it should be !
although I very much love my car, I turned 20 last week and find myself vastly unexperienced with american cars. Would love some tips and tricks to keep my beauty, well, beautiful ..
I am also currently WTB a transluscent targa top!!

Nice wheels on that one. They're generally pretty durable cars, though age presents a few parts issues over time. Still..... Hundreds of thousands of them in the world.
Are you handy with general car maintenance / turning wrenches? If you can follow YouTube videos and top that off with tips and opinions from the forum, your wallet will be the only limiting factor.
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Vette. These really are fantastic cars. Read through the sticky posts at the top of this forum. That will give you a TON of great information. Don't forget to SAVE THE WAVE .
Although, I don't know that you'll run into a lot of other Corvettes down under.
