Deal or no deal
A 2007 36k miles, six speed, no leaks, underbody looks new, interior mint, battery new, tires excellent, body mint ,runs mint but the harmonic balance has a wobble so the price was reduced to $26,500

agreed. Harmonic balancer is going to cost $1000 plus to replace. Offer 24.5.

I think that's a fair price. Not amazing, but very fair.

Offer the dealership 25K and have them install the HB as part of the deal.

Unfortunate but true. Forum wisdom says go with Powerbond or ATI.

Unless it's a dealer like Carmax that can include a warranty.

The problem is, because a car like that would be a "deal", they don't last long.
Seriously, if you like the car and that's the only issue, and you have a good mechanic that you trust, it may be worth it. A 20 year-old car with low miles and a reasonable price is a tough find.
