Help me figure this radio out (replacing head unit)
I read prior to ordering anything about needing the converter from Crutchfield, so I got that and the new head unit at the same time thinking I would need it.
But looking at all the wires and connectors, I'm realizing I probably don't need the Crux converter as the head unit has harness connectors, much like the ones on the Bose radio in my C4. There are RCA inputs, but they are for L/R out, AV, Backup cam, etc...nothing for the audio system itself.
Help me figure this out. Can I just connect the wires from the car to this head unit's wires and be good to go? Will I need a separate amp unit and go through it to play on the Bose speakers?
I'm also pretty sure that my Bose speakers are possibly shot, but I'd like to plug in this head unit and test things out
before determining if the old Bose radio is bad or if the speakers are bad and need replacing.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

There's a lot of info that may help you understand the way the old BOSE systems work and are wired.

Is that, to your knowledge, true?
I really would like to have the OEM head unit back in my '90. Really like the design and look of the so-called ''cockpit'' when everything is lit up at night. Silly reason perhaps, but that's primarily why.
