Picked up a small screw this weekend. 11,700 miles in my 2023 Stingray, so there is enough tread for several thousand miles. I’d hate to throw both tires away to get two new rear tires. I will pull the wheel off this afternoon and take it to America’s Tire. Just curious on what I should expect. It looks far enough away from the shoulder but it is not directly in the middle of the center crown area. Thoughts?
Michelin ZP tire punctures can be repaired as long as the puncture is in the tread, doesn't exceed 1/4" diameter, the tire is removed from the rim for inspection, is repaired from the inside with a plug/patch system, and there are no other repairs. That puncture looks like it is in the tread to me.
Excellent. There's so much nonsense online nowadays about patching tires, but the reality is virtually every puncture is patchable unless it's thru the sidewall.
Now if it's a track car, but all means replace the tire. For everything else, patching is fine.

I agree, it should be fine for highway use. However, we should remember that these tires are high speed rated. I would not take a tire up to its speed rating limit if it has been repaired.
