Good bye to ole friend
Always uneasy feelings with the many hours spent on creating a turnkey classic but satisfied in knowing the new caretaker is excited with my accomplishment. Never imagined it was museum quality but that is its future home. Thank all the contributors here on CF for the many suggestions and help with completing this project. On the prowl for next venture. begee22
Beautiful car. How long did the rebuild take? What were the major items that were rebuilt, engine and drive line, suspension, fuel system, interior or all of it??
I started on my '67 Convertible 5 years ago and I have everything underneath the body done and new seat covers. I am running out of talent. Tried to redo the hard top and didn't do a very good job.
I'm taking that to a shop to have done correctly. I would love to finish it but the time is up....
These "classic" Corvettes become part of our DNA, It makes it hard to let them go but there's consolation when you believe it's going to a good caretaker. Then there's always the though of doing it all over again. A thought process that probably couldn't be altered with therapy. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
